Winter Hike from Ranui to Rifugio Odle

A winter itinerary among the most fascinating in the Val di Funes, starting from the parking area in Ranui and leading to the famous Rifugio Odle (Geisleralm), also known as the “Cinema of the Odle” for its spectacular view of the snow-covered peaks. It is a medium-difficulty route, suitable for trained hikers, offering postcard-like panoramas and full immersion in the nature of the Puez-Odle Nature Park.

Directions

• Departure from Ranui (1370 m): from the parking area, follow forest road no. 28.
• Trail 34A: turn left and continue through the forest until a junction.
• Trail 34: turn right and, after about 40 minutes of walking, reach the Rifugio Odle (2000 m), located in a panoramic position beneath the Odle peaks.
• Return: retrace part of trail 34, then turn right descending towards the Schwarzenbach stream.
• Trail 33 (1629 m): after about one hour, turn left and follow the Villnösser Bach back to the parking area in Ranui.
