From Madonna di Campiglio (1522 m) the route climbs gently toward Rifugio Ritorto, following a forest road that winds through spruce woods and panoramic clearings. As you reach the Ritorto area, the landscape opens up toward the Brenta peaks, offering one of the most iconic views in the entire valley.
The trail continues toward Milegna, an ancient rural settlement overlooking the high meadows. From here, a scenic descent begins along the grassy slope, following the red markers that lead to the path coming from Panorama and heading toward Claemp.
After the junction, the route drops along the old Milegna road, a more technical and demanding section that requires attention due to drainage channels and hidden stones. This stretch, immersed in the forest, preserves the charm of the historic paths once used by the valley’s farmers.
Once you reach the main road, descend to the locality of Fratè, then turn left onto a dirt track that climbs gently toward Fontanella. From here, an enjoyable descent leads to the Hermitage area, before returning comfortably to Madonna di Campiglio.
