The certified paths of La Val

In the summer of 2015, La Val was certified as a hiker's land and became the first certified hiking destination in South Tyrol. When you arrive in the village, you enter a world dedicated to trekking, with perfect, well-marked paths and specific services for hikers, from panoramic maps and information boards located at the starting points of excursions, to info-points with information on excursions with guides, suggestions, maps, books; from free backpack and pole rental services to services for washing and drying technical trekking equipment; from guided excursions per week with the owner of the hotel to those with the tourist association included in the price.

As a village of alpine meadows you will be guided step by step into the majestic world of the Dolomites of Alta Badia, on the Armentara meadows at the foot of the Sasso di Santa Croce to discover the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park.

La Val also offers 5 certified trails:

  • Tru de paîsc: step by step through the village of La Val. An easy 40-minute walk in and around the village of La Val to get to know its Ladin art and culture, useful for orientation and planning other excursions.

  • Tru di Pra: Step by step over the Rit meadows to Ciamplorët in the wonder world of the Armentara meadows. Along the route there are many panoramic points, games for children, a playground with water, refreshment points and a sulphur spring at Al Bagn. Length of route: 27 km. Can be divided into stages.
