The first and original snowshoe walk in Italy, held since 1973, returns as punctual as a Swiss clock on January 5th in Borgo d'Anaunia in Val di Non: La Ciaspolada, which attracts over 6,000 participants every year.
La Ciaspolada is divided into two sections: a competitive race for athletes and a non-competitive, recreational walk for anyone who wants to have fun in the snow.
Each year the route varies depending on snow conditions and is finalized shortly before the event. The course is approximately 7 km long, mostly flat or with gentle elevation changes.
