The Monte Cavallo ski area is getting ready for the 2025/26 winter season, which will begin on Friday, December 5, 2025, and continue until Monday, April 6, 2026. The cable car will operate daily from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., while the ski lifts will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Skipass and special offers: “WOW WEEKS”
The popular WOW WEEKS are back again this year, with the 3+1 | 4+1 | 5+1 formula that gives you one extra ski day for free when purchasing a three-, four-, or five-day skipass. The offer is also valid for ski rental at the Outdoor Center Vipiteno and can be booked exclusively online.
Valid periods: December 5–20, 2025; January 11–31, 2026; March 22–April 6, 2026 – during the low and mid-season.
Season events
The winter season will feature a rich calendar of events dedicated to sports, music, and fun:
- EARLY BIRD – Ski at sunrise
From December 26, 2025, to February 27, 2026, every Friday, the cable car and the Stock chairlift will open early at 7:00 a.m. Enjoy the first light of day on the slopes. - Night sledding
Also every Friday from December 26, 2025, to February 27, 2026, the cable car will run in the evening from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The illuminated sledding track (open until midnight) and cozy mountain huts promise a memorable night out. - Skitest Monte Cavallo
On January 24–25, 2026, visitors can test the latest ski models from top brands for free at the mountain station from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - Hausberg Festival
On March 28, 2026, Monte Cavallo and the town of Vipiteno celebrate their “local mountain” with live bands, DJ sets, and entertainment both on the slopes and at the valley station. A weekend skipass will be available for €50.00. - SKIDS – The Snow Festival
In early April 2026 (exact date to be announced), the popular children’s ski race will return to Monte Cavallo with talented young athletes from various countries, accompanied by former ski stars and family activities in Vipiteno and on the mountain.

New attraction for winter 2025/26: the Funslope
This winter will see the debut of the new Funslope Monte Cavallo, a fun course featuring waves, banked turns, small jumps, and playful elements designed for skiers of all ages. Developed in collaboration with F-Tech and Prinoth, it will make skiing at Monte Cavallo even more enjoyable for families and winter sports lovers.
