The Gran Fondo Val Casies is one of the most iconic and popular cross-country ski marathons in the Alpine region, a fixed event for thousands of athletes and enthusiasts from all over Europe. The event is not just a race, but a true mountain festival where sports, local flavors, music, and entertainment blend together in a warm and engaging atmosphere.
In 2026, on the occasion of the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, the Gran Fondo will exceptionally take place on February 28th and March 1st. From 2027 onwards, it will return to its traditional date on the third weekend of February.
Participants can choose between two routes, 30 or 42 kilometers, immersed in the stunning snowy landscape of Val Casies. Saturday is dedicated to the classic technique, while Sunday features the skating style race.
Alongside competitive athletes, there is also space for those who want to experience the event more relaxed: the "Just for Fun" group is designed for non-competitive skiers, with no timing or pressure, just for the joy of participating.
Even the youngest are stars thanks to the MINI-Val Casies, the race dedicated to youth, held on Saturday, helping to make the event a true festival for all ages.
