An unforgettable experience awaits those who cross the breathtaking suspension bridge over the Marter Gorge. Standing 130 meters high and stretching 270 meters long, the structure offers spectacular views and a unique thrill in the heart of nature.
The trail leading to the bridge follows a historic mule track, once the only connection between Bolzano and the Sarentino Valley. The route retraces the path once used by merchants, farmers, and travelers, now transformed into a scenic hiking trail rich in history and natural beauty.
Informational panels along the way provide insights into the region’s past, the bridge’s construction, and the modern irrigation system that, since 2023, has supplied water to 200 hectares of farmland.
