A pleasant hike suitable for the whole family, starting from the picturesque mountain hamlet of Plata (1,600 m) and leading to the charming Plata Hut (Plattner Alm, 1,942 m). Here the landscape invites you to pause, relax, and admire the magnificent panorama of the surrounding Dolomite peaks and the Puster Valley.
The route
From the Plata car park, a short ascent across meadows leads to the wide forest trail (trail marker 67). The path, with a gentle incline, winds through shady larch woods, offering beautiful views of Falzes, the Puster Valley Sun Road, and the surrounding mountains. The hike is easy and requires no special equipment, but it is not suitable for strollers or prams.

How to get there
- By car: from Brunico to Falzes, then continue to the hamlet of Plata (1,600 m).
- By public transport: bus 421 or 422 from Brunico Mobility Center to Falzes (Town Hall stop), then on foot along trail markers 18 and 19 to Plata (approx. 1.5 h).
