The hike starts directly from the heart of Naturno. Via dei Campi and Via San Procolo are followed, leaving the village behind to join the panoramic trail of Monte Sole, marked by signs 39/91. The route winds through vineyards and sunny meadows until reaching the Runster mill, recently restored and now a small gem along the way.
Shortly after the mill, at the junction, trail 39a/91 is taken, ascending towards the Weitgrub farmstead. The climb is steady but pleasant, immersed in the forest, until the path opens onto wide meadows leading to the Unterrain and Unterwand farmsteads.
From here, trail no. 26 is followed, crossing the steep slopes of Monte Sole di Parcines and passing beneath the Texel cable car. The route leads to the characteristic Dursterhof inn, an ideal spot for a break with valley views.
The descent continues along trail no. 26, through mixed woodland and grassy slopes, until reaching the Birkenwald tavern, located at the foot of the spectacular Parcines waterfall, one of the highest and most impressive in South Tyrol.
For the return, at the bus stop near the tavern, line 265 is taken to the Texel cable car, where line 266 provides a convenient connection back to Naturno.
