This spectacular traverse connects Passo Sella with Passo Gardena, crossing the impressive north‑western face of the Sella Group. The long wall overlooking Val Gardena is crowned by a sequence of peaks that can be reached by crossing the Mëisules Plateau, a high‑altitude environment of extraordinary beauty.
Starting point: Rifugio Passo Sella – 2,153 m
From Passo Sella, a wide alpine basin between the Sella Group and the Sassolungo, the route follows the famous Ferrata delle Mëisules, which leads to Piz Selva. The ascent requires mountaineering experience, confidence on rock and proper equipment.

Mëisules Traverse
Once on the summit of Piz Selva, the itinerary continues across the plateau, touching a series of peaks that form the northern ridge of the Sella:

Descent to Passo Gardena
The traverse ends by descending towards the Forcella dei Camosci and along the scenic Val Setus, a rocky gully equipped with cables that leads directly to Passo Gardena.
