The alpine hut tour on Monte Tramontana is a hike along the charming hut trail, connecting several mountain huts immersed in a breathtaking landscape with views over the Val Venosta. In summer, the huts serve traditional South Tyrolean dishes, making the tour not only a nature experience but also a true culinary excursion. Thanks to the altitude and shady woods, the route offers pleasant refreshment on hot days.
The starting point is the Kreuzbrünnl car park at about 1,500 meters, reachable by car or hiking taxi. From here, the wide forest road climbs gently through the woods of Monte Tramontana to the Naturno Hut, the highest point of the hike. The picturesque hut trail, almost flat, then leads to the Zetn Hut at 1,747 meters. Continuing along the same path, you reach the Mausloch Hut, the last stop of the tour. The return follows a comfortable forest road in a steady but gentle descent back to the Kreuzbrünnl car park.
From there, you return to the valley by car or hiking taxi. The car park is located directly on Monte Tramontana, and the Naturno – Kreuzbrünnl shuttle can be booked at the tourist offices of Naturno, Parcines, Senales, and Castelbello.
