On July 4th, one of the most anticipated events for trail running enthusiasts returns: the 11th edition of the Primiero Dolomiti Marathon. An unmissable event that combines sport, nature, and breathtaking scenery, set in the enchanting Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Every year, the race attracts runners from all over Italy and abroad, confirming its status as one of the most important trail events on the international calendar.
The 2026 edition will be even more prestigious thanks to the Italian Short Trail Championship (Individual and Team), held in the extraordinary setting of the Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino Natural Park, one of the most stunning areas in Trentino.
Organized by US Primiero, the event offers four routes designed for all levels: the 42 km Dolomites trail, the main race with 1,243 meters of elevation gain and spectacular views; the 26 km San Martino di Castrozza – Fiera di Primiero route, technical yet accessible; the 16 km Vanoi Trail, ideal for those looking for a shorter but intense challenge; and the 6.5 km Family Trail, a non-competitive route perfect for families and participants of all ages.
The Primiero Dolomiti Marathon is much more than a race: it’s a unique experience combining sport and nature in the Dolomites, perfect for enjoying the mountains in an authentic way.
