The Fichtenhof Restaurant: a culinary journey through South Tyrolean tradition

For those who are looking for a place surrounded by nature with a beautiful panorama and where they can enjoy the authentic flavours of South Tyrolean tradition, the Fichtenhof Restaurant at the entrance to the Monte Corno Nature Park is renowned for its gastronomic offerings of genuine, local dishes that express the deep connection with their land and roots.

Each speciality is prepared using excellent raw materials, some of which come from the kitchen garden managed by owner Ingrid and some from local producers. At Fichtenhof, high-quality produce is cultivated using a rotation system, avoiding the use of chemical pesticides and adapting to the characteristics of the harvest and the surrounding nature. In addition, local suppliers are dedicated to organic and biodynamic farming and the animals live free-range in the pastures. This results in simple and delicious dishes enriched by the wild herbs gathered in the surroundings of the Monte Corno Nature Park.

The restaurant has always shared Slow Food's philosophy, becoming part of the national and local circuits. Thanks to the family's passion and constant commitment, handed down from generation to generation, the restaurant has been part of Slow Food's 'Osterie d'Italia' circuit since 2003, offering lunch and dinner service.

Chef Ingrid's cuisine will surprise you with her creations. Among the many delicacies on offer, you can find specialities such as home-made maltagliati, Schlutzer filled with ricotta, venison goulash, Aurina Valley grey cheese and a selection of desserts prepared fresh daily. The dumplings are the highlight, a true homage to the flavours of the region. On request, you can discover all of Ingrid's secrets in her wood-fired kitchen, preparing together dumplings, rye bread, krapfen and much more.

The restaurant's well-stocked wine cellar boasts the best South Tyrolean wines, such as Lagrein, Schiava and Gewürztraminer, as well as excellent Trentino and Italian wines to accompany your dishes. Sommelier Uli will advise you on the perfect pairing for a journey into the world of wines. Tastings and cellar visits can be organised on request.

The restaurant is also available for lunches and dinners and to celebrate any special occasion. The staff will also be happy to create customised menus for people with food allergies.
