Celebrate fine wine surrounded by the breathtaking peaks of the Dolomites. This is the essence of Top Wine 2950, Italy’s highest food and wine event, which marks the official close of the summer season in Val di Fassa. The event takes place on October 18th, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on the panoramic terrace of the Rifugio Maria at Sass Pordoi, almost 3,000 meters above sea level, with a spectacular 360° view of the UNESCO World Heritage mountains.
The spotlight will be on elegant whites, full-bodied reds, fragrant rosés, and characterful sparkling wines, crafted by skilled winemakers from exceptional terroirs. Around twenty wineries from Trentino-Alto Adige – plus one special guest from outside the region – will gather at the summit to present their finest wines.
The wine tastings will be complemented by a gourmet food selection: the Top Wine dish by chef Giovanni Gabrielli, and a refined array of finger foods prepared by Gaetano Bonanno, Matthias Trottner, and Stefano Ghetta, ambassadors of Ladin cuisine, blending tradition and innovation.
This unique high-altitude sensory journey is made possible thanks to collaborations that combine talent, vision, and deep roots in the land. The event is organized by the Società Incremento Turistico Canazei, in partnership with the Sommelier Association of Fassa and Fiemme and Cedea Mineral Water.
