On September 6, 2026, the Val di Zoldo will host the Transpelmo Skyrace, a spectacular 19.5 km mountain running race that loops around the majestic Mount Pelmo.
The circular course starts in Palafavera. After an initial climb through the forest, the route continues at altitude along wide trails crossing vast alpine pastures and stretches of dwarf pine, leading to the Rifugio Venezia, where the first aid station is located.
From here begins the most demanding ascent of the race, reaching the Forcella di Val d’Arcia, the highest point of the course, where the second aid station will be set up.
The first part of the descent runs over very technical terrain, followed by a long and steady scree slope that leads to the trail heading to Passo Staulanza, where runners will find the third aid station. After a short climb, the final descent begins, passing through Pian dei Buoi and bringing athletes back to Palafavera, the finish area and location of the final refreshment station.
