A short distance from Merano, the small village of Tirolo hosts an intimate Christmas market, set up within the walls of Castel Tirolo on weekends from November 27 to December 8. A suggestive setting for this recurring event. The internal rooms of the castle will be used by craftspeople to display their handmade products and demonstrate ancient crafts such as felt-making, pottery wheel and spinning.
Christmas Market at Castel Tirolo: what to find
During the Christmas Market at Castel Tirolo the village is also decorated for the occasion: the shop windows in the center will be embellished with handmade nativity scenes created by the women of Tirolo.
In the courtyard of Castel Tirolo there is a gastronomic stand and a small petting zoo with sheep and donkeys. For children there are also workshops for creating small gifts, assisted by expert staff.
Horse-drawn carriage rides, concerts, theatrical and magic shows and alpine horn players will animate these three festive days.
Hours:
27/11 - 08/12/2026 11:00 - 18:00
