Ski area Valle Aurina: Klausberg and Speikboden

The Aurina valley ski area is located in the far north of South Tyrol, above Val Pusteria, and is an ideal place for skiing holidays for families with children and skiers in general. The downhill slopes are grouped in the two main ski areas of Klausberg and Speikboden, in addition to the slopes of Rio Bianco and Riva di Tures with a total of 74 km of slopes always perfectly covered with snow thanks to the snow-making facilities. The two largest ski areas are connected by a free ski bus service.

Klausberg ski area

On the Klausberg ski slopes you can really breathe in the purest air: situated at over 2500 metres and surrounded by impressive rocky peaks over 3000 metres, they offer a wide variety of tracks and guaranteed snow on all slopes. The lifts are also state-of-the-art: the "record-breaking" 8-passenger gondola lift is worth mentioning, as it boasts the highest position in South Tyrol. Here you can ski on 33 km of slopes served by 8 lifts.

Speikboden ski area

The area is located in Campo Tures. The more than 38 km of downhill slopes in Speikboden are served by 7 modern lifts and spread over an area of about 80 hectares, to the delight of beginners and champions. Snowmaking starts in November and is guaranteed until Easter. For an "alternative" stop, the new 2,400-metre-high viewing tower offers a view of 150 peaks and 80 mountains over 3,000 metres.

Riva di Tures and Rio Bianco

In addition to these two main resorts, you will also find beautiful downhill slopes in Riva di Tures and Rio Bianco. The skiing area of Riva di Tures is small, with 2 lifts and 2 km of downhill runs, but it is a paradise for families with small children and the lack of waiting times. The Rio Bianco area has a small ski lift and 1 km of slopes.
