In Selva di Val Gardena, snow turns into art and imagination with the traditional Snow Sculpture Contest, now in its 29th edition. Each year, local sculptors and artists transform huge blocks of snow into real works of art, giving shape to their creativity with skill and patience. Using only hand tools, they work for three days to create fascinating figures that seem almost alive. This event celebrates the magic of winter and the extraordinary talent of the valley’s artisans.
