The Garda Trentino Trail is one of the most spectacular trail running events in Trentino, taking place across Riva del Garda, Arco, Valle di Ledro and Valle di Tenno. It is a must-attend event for mountain running enthusiasts, combining competition, nature and unique landscapes between the lake and the mountains.
The event features five races of different distances and difficulty levels, designed to meet the needs of both experienced ultra runners and those who want to discover the world of trail running.
The Garda Trentino Trail races
Garda Trentino Trail Extra
The longest and most demanding race of the event, reserved for highly trained runners.
- Distance: approximately 150 km
- Elevation gain: approximately 10,000 m
- Features: a loop course around Garda Trentino, with long technical sections and challenging climbs.
Garda Trentino Trail
The historic and flagship race of the event.
- Distance: approximately 75 km
- Elevation gain: approximately 4,000 m
- Features: a technical and varied course through trails, ridgelines and spectacular views over the Upper Garda area.
Ledro Trail
A fascinating race through the beautiful Valle di Ledro.
- Distance: approximately 44 km
- Elevation gain: approximately 2,400 m
- Features: a scenic route through lakes, forests and historic villages.
Tenno Trail
The ideal distance for those looking for an intense but more accessible challenge.
- Distance: approximately 30 km
- Elevation gain: approximately 1,600 m
- Features: a dynamic course with challenging climbs and stunning views of Lake Tenno.
Garda Trentino Castle Run
The start and finish are in Piazza Segantini in Arco.
The new feature of the course is a loop which, after passing by Arco Castle, is completed twice before returning to the traditional finish in Piazza Segantini in Arco.
The loop includes the Laghel area, above Arco, and Monte Colodri. Percentage of paved roads: 50%
- Distance: approximately 12 km
- Elevation gain: approximately 700 m
