After the winter break, the Sissi Gardens in Merano reopen on 1st April.
Everything is ready to inaugurate this new season among seductive fragrances and aromatic spices. A riot of colours is ready to welcome lovers of flowers and plants from all over the world in the 80 botanical environments on an area of 12 hectares. Despite the cold weather of recent days, the flowers are ready to bloom: daffodils, tulips, magnolias, bellflowers, Japanese cherry trees, laurel and rosemary await the first warm rays of spring. Also for this new season the Sissi Gardens are waiting for you with many events.
Opened in 2001, they are one of the most popular destinations in South Tyrol. The focus will be on the theme of biodiversity.
There will be established events such as the World Music Festival, Friday evening openings in the summer months, family days...

In spring, the Gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff show their most enchanting and colorful side. By taking part in various workshops with the Garden guides, visitors will discover the secrets of the plant world, becoming true little researchers.
Participation in the workshops is free.

Open Day for People with Disabilities

A day when people with disabilities, with valid documentation or official certification, can, together with a companion, enjoy a free day at the Gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff, which are barrier-free, and take part in a unique journey through the history of Tyrolean tourism at the Touriseum.
Choir Day

For a full day, various choirs from South Tyrol will fill the Gardens of Castel Trauttmansdorff, flooding the Bamboo Forest, North American Woods, and exotic and Mediterranean landscapes with their songs. “Choir Day” is organized in cooperation with the Südtiroler Chorverband.
