The hike begins at the charming Bagni di Pervalle (approx. 1,314 m), a peaceful spot surrounded by nature and known for its springs. From here, well-marked trails lead steadily uphill through coniferous forests and alpine clearings, offering increasingly wide views of the Dolomites.
After about 2 hours of walking, you reach the Furcia Pass (1,750 m), a natural crossing point between the Puster Valley and the Badia Valley. This makes the pass not only a panoramic viewpoint but also a symbolic meeting place of cultures.
At the summit, hikers can choose to continue towards the plateau of Plan de Corones/Kronplatz, home to the renowned MMM Corones and LUMEN Museum of Mountain Photography, or head towards the more rugged Piz da Peres, which offers an authentic alpine experience and spectacular views.
The hike is recommended from May to October, when the trails are free of snow and the Dolomite landscapes are at their most striking.
