Monte Forcella Sarentina and Monte Villandro

Monte Forcella Sarentina, the main mountain of Sarentino, is a ridge that stretches from Ponticino to S. Martino.

The route starts at the Riedlerhof farm car park, from where you follow trail no. 3, which leads uphill but without any particular difficulty, first through woodland and then rocky landscapes to the pass, where there is a bivouac. Here, take trail no. 2 to the summit cross on the Forcella Sarentina. This is followed by a short descent to a connecting saddle and the easy, trouble-free ascent to Monte Villandro.

The return route follows the same route as the outward journey. More experienced hikers can instead cross the pass between the two peaks by following the equipped trail no. 18A to the Waldrast alpine hut and from there back to the starting point.
