Gaismair Circular Trail

The Gaismair circular trail starts in the center of Vipiteno and extends for about 15 kilometers, between 950 and 1200 meters above sea level. The route crosses meadows and forests, alternating flat sections with short steeper climbs and uneven terrain.

Along the way you reach the hamlet of Ceves, birthplace of Michael Gaismair, a key figure in the peasant revolts of the 16th century. Informative panels along the trail recount his story and describe the landscape, making the hike both cultural and educational.

The path continues through other villages such as Novale, Tunes, and Raminghes, offering panoramic views over the Isarco Valley and rest areas with benches.

Being a circular route, the trail naturally leads back to the starting point in Vipiteno, completing an itinerary that combines nature, culture, and local history.
