Terento: hikes among an unpolluted nature in a pleasant climate

Terento lies along the "sun road" Strada del Sole della Val Pusteria. It offers a temperate climate which is ideal for spring and autumn holidays. A sunny spot, well connected and easy to reach, offering many paths for hikers and an ideal environment for a relaxing holiday.

The erosion pyramids, formed by the force of water, are really extraordinary. The mill path is also very beautiful, allowing you to admire the mills which were used to mill wheat and which are still working. Hikers will find many paths and itineraries in the environs of the refuge Rifugio Lago di Pausa.

Strolling in the village you can admire the parish Church, the typical tyrolean cemetery, the red deal shaped as a column (the only one in Europe) and the Pachner Moos biotope. In the village center there are a manège with Icelandic horses and a kneipp facility, as well as the sport area with tennis courts, pitch and put courses, boccia and volleyball field.

In winter Terento is ideal for those looking for fun far away from the crowd: sledge slopes, snowshoe walks, ice skating, curling and cross-country skiing.
