On September 12 and 13, the Transhumance Festival takes place in Pieve Tesino. It is a major celebration of the arrival of the sheep in Tesino after their summer grazing in the mountains among the peaks of the Lagorai range. The sheep come down to the village before continuing their journey towards the sea.
Throughout the weekend, there will be activities dedicated to sheep shearing, livestock farming, traditional crafts, dairy and cheese products, and plenty of food tastings. There will also be afternoon shows, as well as evenings featuring traditional music and dancing.
