Museo Ostello Termine di Cadore
The Museo Ostello is a truly unique structure: a hostel that houses an authentic local history museum inside. It is located in a strategic position at the entrance to Cadore, easily reachable from iconic destinations such as Lake Alpago, the Vajont Dam, Forno di Zoldo and Cortina d’Ampezzo. The building stands in the traditional village of Termine di Cadore, on the banks of the Piave River, surrounded by snowy mountains, alpine forests and waterfalls that make the landscape enchanting in every season.
The rooms are mainly five‑bed shared dorms, ideal for groups or families wishing to reserve the entire space. A double room with private bathroom is also available for guests seeking more privacy. All accommodations offer beautiful Dolomites views and include bed linen, towels and daily cleaning. The hostel also provides a fully equipped kitchen for meal preparation, while breakfast is available on request. Free Wi‑Fi Internet access is available throughout the property.
The Museo Ostello is easy to reach: it is about an hour’s drive from Venice Airport and is also connected by trains and buses. For guests travelling with an electric car, a Type 2 charging station is available upon reservation.
In addition to accommodation, the property offers a rare added value: a free museum dedicated to the history of the region, featuring interactive exhibits, artefacts and curiosities that tell the story and traditions of Cadore. This blend of authentic hospitality and local culture makes the Museo Ostello an ideal choice for those who want to experience the Dolomites, a place where nature, tradition and discovery come together to turn every stay into an unforgettable memory.
