Mushroom Trail in Val di Vizze

The Mushroom Trail starts at the playground Aue in San Giacomo, in Val di Vizze, near Vipiteno. The path stretches for about one kilometre through a forest of spruce trees and can be completed in roughly thirty minutes, making it easy and suitable for everyone.

Along the way, information panels introduce visitors to the fascinating world of mushrooms: how to recognise the main species, their biology, reproduction, and various uses. Large wooden sculptures, over one metre high, represent mushrooms in monumental dimensions. These scenic installations make it easier to understand the features and parts that make up a mushroom.

The trail, simple to follow and rich in clear explanations, was created by the Tourism Cooperative Vipiteno – Val di Vizze – Campo di Trens. It is designed especially for children, families, and school groups, offering a fun and educational approach to the kingdom of mushrooms. At the same time, it represents a new opportunity for “intelligent leisure” within the unspoilt natural setting of the Val di Vizze.
