The circular hike of Ladurns is an itinerary of about two hours that offers a fascinating view of the Dolomites. The route passes through alpine biotopes, leads to the Stella Alpina Hut, and offers several options for the descent back.
The trail starts to the right of the Ladurns mountain station, where a refreshment point is available. After the initial walk, you reach the Hirsch-Lacken, a biotope with two natural lakes. Continuing along the Dolomieu trail, you come to the junction for the Teissljöchl and the Stella Alpina Hut.
A short ascent leads to the Wastenegg, from where a spectacular view opens up over the rocky walls of the Tribulaun. Continuing downhill, you reach the Teissljöchl and then the Stella Alpina Hut, an ideal place for a break and refreshment.
From the hut, there are two options for the descent:
The first follows the forest road (trail marker no. 34), wider and more comfortable.
The second takes trail no. 8, which starts behind the Ladurns water reservoir and leads directly back to the starting point.
The area is connected by public transport via bus line 313, which links Brenner, Pflersch, Colle Isarco, and Vipiteno. Alternatively, it is possible to arrive by car from Vipiteno or Brenner to Colle Isarco and continue to the parking area of the Ladurns cable car.
