The Bee Trail in Trens is an easy themed path suitable for everyone, ideal for families and school groups. It starts from the center of Maria Trens and winds for about 2 km through woods and meadows heading south, until it reaches the small village of Valgenauna. The entire route can be completed in about one hour, round trip.
Along the way, information panels explain the life of bees and the world of beekeeping: from the difference between a queen bee and a drone, to the essential role of bees in the cultural landscape, and even surprising facts such as that to produce just one kilogram of honey, bees must fly about 150,000 km.
In the summer of 2024, the trail was completely renewed and enriched with interactive stations designed for children. Games and activities make learning fun and intuitive: a memory game, a swing, an original “bee hug,” and a relaxation area with wooden deck chairs invite visitors to pause and enjoy nature.
The project, promoted by the Tourism Cooperative Vipiteno Val di Vizze Campo di Trens in collaboration with LEADER, combines leisure and knowledge, strengthening the link between agriculture and tourism and offering a unique experience for both residents and guests.
