Weingut & Genusshotel Spitalerhof

The Spitalerhof Winery and Hotel is both a winery and a cosy hotel amidst the vineyards of Chiusa in the Isarco Valley. A meeting place for wine connoisseurs and philosophers of the spoon, but also for sports enthusiasts and mountain lovers. 

The hotel with its wine cellar and vineyard is a member of Vinum Hotels Südtirol: here you can taste the best South Tyrolean wines, such as Sylvaner Sepp's alte Rebe, Traminer Aromatico, Lagrein, Schiava and Pinot Noir. Winemaker Michael is happy to welcome you to tasting sessions to discover the secret world of his wines. 

The Spitalerhof also offers different unique experiences, such as a night in the innovative wine barrel, a high-proof day in the show distillery and mountain tour right through the Villnöss Dolomites with senior proprietors, Isabella and Günther.

The cosy rooms and suites furnished in oak and Swiss pine wood offer the utmost in sleeping comfort. The highlight is the barrel with double room and terrace with jacuzzi. 

At the Muga restaurant, the chef will delight guests with his culinary creations, a treat for the eyes as well as the palate. The careful presentation of the dishes will amaze you: you might find that asparagus, bacon in Grandma’s preserving jars, in rustic wooden drawers, on tree bark or stone slabs. The specialities are based on seasonal and 0-km ingredients from their own vineyards, orchards and gardens. 

The real meeting point is the bar with its terrace, perfect for convivial moments, to have a good coffee or an aperitif in company. 

The hotel also boasts a modern wellness area for sweet moments of relaxation with a pine wood sauna, Finnish sauna and relaxation room. From May to September, guests can cool off in the natural Seppl See pool with terrace, pergola and garden.
