Discover the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park
South Tyrol boasts seven nature parks and one national park. The Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park is the largest of the neighbouring parks and the entrance is located close to the campsite. The park boasts a unique variety of flora and fauna, an unparalleled landscape and beautiful lakes, such as the famous Lake Braies, in whose waters the rock faces of the Croda del Beco are reflected, and the equally famous Lake Dobbiaco. The high plateaus of Fanes and Senes are characterised by karst phenomena in the most varied forms: karst fields, crevices, wells, dolines and caves. An excursion on foot or a MTB or e-bike tour is the best way to explore it.
Camping Sass Dlacia
Nestled in a picturesque setting in Alta Badia, Camping Sass Dlacia is located in San Cassiano, at the gateway to the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Its privileged location makes it the perfect starting point for countless walks, hikes, climbing and cycling tours. Located 1.5 km from the Armentarola ski lift, in winter it is a paradise for skiing, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
The campsite offers various accommodation, such as pitches, lodges, mobile homes, self-catering houses, A-Frame Cabin (small cosy cabin in a secluded and quiet location) and the Üties, wooden cottages designed for mountaineers and hikers only available in summer.
The pitches are suitable for campers, caravans and tents of all sizes and have a direct connection to electricity. Showers, toilets and barbecue areas are just a few steps away.
Camping Sass Dlacia also has a wide range of services designed to meet all your needs. There is a breakfast area, a restaurant-pizzeria, a minimarket, a bar and a wellness center.
In the morning you can have breakfast at the breakfast area, open from 8 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., where you can choose from fresh bread, jams, scrambled eggs, croissants, pancakes and much more! In the evening, traditional Ladin dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients can be enjoyed at the restaurant-pizzeria. At the minimarket, 0 KM, fair trade and organic products are available.
Moments of relaxation await you at the Natura Wellness center equipped with a Turkish bath, biosauna, Finnish sauna and relaxation area. Treatments and massages are available.
Environmental sustainability is a hot topic at the campsite. With this in mind, various actions have been taken, such as appointing a sustainability director to measure and continually improve our environmental impact, establishing daily information processes on the awareness and importance of sustainability for both customers and employees, distributing waste bags to hikers on the trails, setting up eco-islands and reducing paper consumption.
