Messner Mountain Museum Ripa

The Messner Mountain Museum Ripa is the fifth in the museum circuit desired and created by the well-known mountaineer Reinhold Messner and has found its exhibition space inside the castle of Brunico, in Val Pusteria.

The theme dealt with concerns the mountain peoples of Asia, Africa, South America and Europe: it is no coincidence that the museum bears the name 'Ripa', which in Tibetan means (re) mountain and (pa) man.

The different cultures, religions and even tourism of the regions and peoples that Messner got to know on his many journeys are brought to the attention of visitors one after the other in the Messner Mountain Museum Ripa.

Opening hours

MMM Ripa is open from the second Sunday of May to the 1st sunday of November (10 a.m. – 6 p.m), and from 7th December (closed on 24 and 25 December) to the 25th of April, 12 noon – 6 p.m.
Doors close at 5 p.m. | Closed on Tuesdays

MMM Tour-Ticket
The MMM Tour-Ticket is a combined ticket for one visit each to Firmian, Juval, Ortles, Ripa, Dolomites and Corones. The ticket is valid for one year from the date of issue and is available at all Messner Mountain Museums.
