Ski area Tre Valli
The Trevalli ski area includes the three valleys on the border between Trentino and Bellunese: Alpe di Lusia, San Pellegrino Pass and Falcade. This is one of the most appreciated ski areas in the Dolomites, thanks to its modern lift facilities minimizing queue line waits and to its well groomed ski runs. This ski area is loved also for its cross-country skiing centers, the facilities dedicated to kids and snowboarders, and the mountain refuges, where you can relax enjoying the wonderful view. Even romantic skiers will find here the perfect slopes, thanks to the Skitour of Emotions.
The Trevalli ski area offers a state of the art snowmaking system and endless ski runs winding through forests and panoramic views: mountains like the Pale di San Martino group, the Monzoni, the Catinaccio, and the Marmolada. There are ski slopes suitable for every skier, from children to professionals. There are many practice slopes and playgrounds, but also some difficult ski runs: the ski area is in fact certified with the Piste Azzurre trademark, identifying the trails chosen by the Italian Alpine ski team as training grounds when preparing for important competitions.
If you are a romantic skier, don’t miss the Skitour of Emotions, a tour allowing you to enjoy breathtaking sceneries and leading you through all the three ski resorts and on the lovers’ ski run in Falcade. The sports you can practice here are mainly Alpine skiing and snowboarding, but there are also three cross-country skiing centers. Other activities you can enjoy are horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, walks in the snow, ice skating and snow tubing.
Alpe di Lusia ski resort
The ski resort Alpe di Lusia lies only 4 km away from Moena in the Val di Fassa valley. From Moena you can take a shuttle bus to Ronchi, the lower station of the cableway, or to the San Pellegrino Pass. This modern ski center surrounded by a wonderful landscape is divided in two sections: the northern section, near Moena, offers medium to difficult level ski runs, whereas the southern section is ideal for families. The center offers many services: ski rental, restaurant and refuges with terrace, two snowboard parks, practice slopes and a Baby Club service with assistance rendered by the ski school of Moena. If you don’t ski, immerse yourself in the silence of nature and walk on the trails winding through the forests, like the one going from Morea to Malga Bocche. You can also practice ski mountaineering and ice skating, or simply visit the town center of Moena.
San Pellegrino Pass ski resort
The ski resort on the San Pellegrino Pass lies halfway between Falcade and Moena. Among the three resorts of the Trevalli ski area, this is the most suitable for children, since it offers vast spaces for practice slopes, a Baby Club with music and games and many other activities besides skiing, like sledding and snow tubing. It doesn’t mean this ski center is for kids only: more expert skiers will also find slopes to their liking. From the San Pellegrino Pass, taking the Col Margherita cableway designed by Pininfarina, you can also reach the slopes of Falcade, or, taking the shuttle bus, those of Alpe di Lusia. There is also a well equipped cross-country skiing center with practice slope, the Alochet, and a space dedicated to snowboarders, the Easysnowpark. Mountain refuges and restaurants offer entertainment also to those who don’t ski. Other activities you can practice are walks in the snow, snowshoeing, sledding and snow tubing.
Falcade ski resort
Falcade is a tourist resort in the Valle del Biois valley, in the Veneto region. Its ski center is famous mainly for one of the most beautiful and romantic ski runs in the Dolomites, the lovers’ ski run, which is 12 km long. The center offers many trails, suitable also for telemark and free ride skiers, surrounded by a wonderful landscape: the mountains Marmolada, Cime d’Auta, Civetta, Pelmo, Cime del Focobon and Pale di San Martino. The lower station of the ski lifts is in the town center.
There are two playgrounds: the Ski Caroussel Le Buse and Loacker Land, a didactic theme park where ski instructors will take care of your children. Falcade is famous mainly for Nordic skiing and offers many trails for this discipline, one of them floodlit for nighttime skiing. There is also a FIS certified trail in Canale d’Agordo. In Falcade there are also an ARVA center, the first center in Italy and second in Europe for training in the use of avalanche transceivers, a Ski College for students from 14 to 20 years old who come here to study and to learn how to ski, and a snowboard park.
If you want to experience winter on the mountains without skiing, you can choose among a horse-drawn sleigh ride, snowshoeing, walks in the snow and ice skating.
