Biosauna is the perfect compromise between a Finnish sauna and a steam bath. The not too high temperature and a humidity level between 50% and 70% make this a sauna particularly appreciated by women, for the beneficial effects on both health and general wellbeing. Moreover, the dry herbs give the same beneficial effects of a hay bath.
The sanarium, another name for biosauna, is a regenerating break from everyday life, a chance to relax: a temperature ranging between 40°C and 50°C and a dense steam, generated by moistening dry herbs thus reproducing the effects of a hay bath, make the biosauna a less intense treatment than other saunas. Moreover, the body is stimulated in a gentler way, avoiding excessive stimulation of the circulatory system. A session, then, is longer than that of other saunas, and beneficial effects are visible since the first sessions.
The biosauna stimulates the circulatory system with an alternation of warm and cold baths that increase elasticity and efficiency of blood vessels. This in turn makes the body more resistant to diseases like bronchitis and colds. This sauna strengthens the immune system and is recommended as rehabilitation therapy.
From an aesthetical point of view, the biosauna purifies pores, smoothing and brightening the skin, and helps losing weight.
