Sled slopes in Maranza

The surroundings of Maranza offer many sled slopes. The first one is located in the upper Valles valley, near the mountain dairy Malga Fane, characterized by a picturesque small church and cozy farms. Here you can find a three-kilometer slope with almost 300 m drop. Every Wednesday a part of the slope is floodlit, so that you can sled by night as well. No matter if you don't have the right equipment: you can rent the sleds at the Kurzkofel Hut.

The sled slope of the Jochtal ski school Kinderpark (suitable for snow tubes as well) and that close to the mountain dairy Malga Kiener, between Maranza and Vandoies, are reserved to children.

In Maranza, you should try the 5 km sled trail from the Moserhütte hut, which can be reached with about one hour walk from the Altfasstal parking. If you take the Gitschberg cableway you can reach a 2 km slope taking you down to the village. If you prefer strong emotions, don't miss the artificial ice start treck, where international teams train. It is 300 meter long and is perfect for a race with your friends, since you can be timed and use the professional sleds.
