Ice polo is a variant of traditional polo, a team sport played on horseback, with players driving a small ball towards the opposing team's goal striking it with a bamboo stick. Teams are composed by 4 players, riding fast, strong and quick horses (normally Argentinian horses).
Ice-polo horses are normally equipped with particular shoeing featuring crampons preventing them from slipping. The ball is larger and brightly colored, in order to be better seen. Ice polo is a very dynamic winter sport, and is really exciting both for players and for the crowd.
