September 16, 2013 - In the wonderful Val d'Ega valley, life in the mountain farms (called masi here in Alto Adige) still follows the ancient traditions. The family-operated masi are the heart of a centuries old tradition in the production of high-quality, natural and healthy gastronomy products. From October 14 to November 3, adults and children will have the chance to discover the mountain farms of the Val d'Ega valley, learning about rural life, traditions, local cuisine and bread making techniques.

Weekly local cuisine classes will be held in Nova Levante. According to season, the focus will be on main courses, desserts, and homemade fruit juices and jams, with tasting at the end of each lesson.

Once upon a time...a day with Irene and Hube

Maso Lantschner in Collepietra. Irene and Hube, who live in a yurt, will lead visitors through a pristine natural environment, home of animals, herbs and plants.

Traditional bread making
Every week in Val d'Ega visitors will have the chance to take part in the making of bread, prepared according to ancient recipes and techniques, and cooked in the wood-fired brick oven of the following two masi:
