S. John Church in Tubre

A significant evidence of the Romanesque art is represented by the church of the home of the Gerosolomitians of S. John in Tubre. The original cross shape of the foundation is particular in Alto Adige and recalls Byzantium churches with cross plan and cupola. Worth to remember are also the frescoes of the late roman period, particularly expressive and bright. Besides the scenes from the Old and New Testament, there are the images of a pilgrim in a Gerosolomitian dress and of a hand with a brush, lovely proofs of an own spiritual and artistic representation.
