The building of Castle Mareccio, plunged into the vineyards near Bolzano/Bozen, is dated back to the XII century, even if its current aspect reminds to the XVI century buildings.
Its walls are quite tall and very imposing and they overhangs the town of Bolzano/Bozen.
The view you can enjoy from the castle is simply suggestive. The structure can be easily recognized by the four cone-shape towers. Inside the castle is well preserved and its halls have become a well-equipped congress centre.
Concerts and performances are also held in the charming inner courtyard.
We thank Alto Adige APT for the collaboration.
