Lamar Lake

Lamar Lake was once linked to the Lago Santo.

The sheet of water, absorbed and hidden by the rich vegetation of Paganella southern slope, is fed by underground effluents and is effluent to Karst phenomena which interest the eastern slope of the Paganella-Gazza Group.

The particular beauty and the fish fauna which characterized this lake, completely enclosed in the Dolomites picturesque environment, make this area extremely interesting and famous among both naturalists and fishermen.

Moreover, the area of the two lakes, which are separated by only 150 metres of earth, is a starting point to suggestive itineraries which winds until Paganella peak.
