Nature and taste at the Gardens of Sissi with the new edition of Gardens & Wine

August 20, 2012 - After the success of the previous editions, the Gardens of Sissi organize again this year, from August to September, Gardens & Wine. During this event visitors will have the chance to visit the park, see the Versoaln vine and taste some excellent wine.
The first part of the offer comprises a guided tour to the Gardens of Sissi at Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano, with a visit to the 7,000 years old grape seed gifted by the state of Georgia and the 2,400 years old grape seed from South Tyrol. A bus will then take the visitors to Katzenzungen Castle in Prissiano to visit the over 350 years old Versoaln vine, since 2006 under the guardianship of the Gardens. Visitors will also have the chance to taste the wine produced by this old grapevine.

The Gardens & Wine ticket includes the visit to the Gardens of Sissi and to Katzenzungen Castle, one of the best kept and most renowned castles in South Tyrol.

Ticket fees:
30 € per person
23.50 € for groups of a minimum of 15 people
