June 20, 2012 - On Friday, June 15, by the Katzentungen Castle in Prissiano took place the first big blooming festival of the Versoaln grapevine. An important event organized by the tourist association of Tesimo-Prissiano, Katzentungen Castle and the Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle, and created to celebrate the biggest, and maybe oldest, grapevine in the world.
The program included many side events, such as the guided tours to the grapevine and to the Katzentungen Castle, with tasting of the Versoaln wine, tasting of local specialties such as the Soup with Versoaln wine, or the Versoaln wine cream with apple jam, all with musical background provided by the Ofillmusi group of Prissiano.
Those who couldn't take part to the festival can visit the grapevine and the castle thanks to the holiday package Gardens & Wine, offered by the Gardens of Sissi in Trauttmansdorff Castle, every Thursday of August, September and October.
