Walking on Alpe di Luson

The pretty village of Luson is located in the valley bearing the same name, unfar from Bressanone, in a wonderful landscape with hills covered with meadows and vineyards, the green plateau with beautiful meadows and woods and imposing peaks, such as the wonderful and solitary Sass de Putia, in the Puez Odle Nature Park, overlooking the valley.

Luson is the ideal destination for trekking lovers, offering all kinds of itineraries: easy walks around the village and among the hills, wonderful paths among the green pastures and the farmhouses on the Alpe di Luson, historical and cultural itineraries, hikes in the height. An easy trail crossing an unexplored area takes to the beautiful Rina lakes on the plateau, whereas the via ferrata to the Sass de Putia is more demanding, but also very beautiful. Many paths allow to reach the farmhouses and refuges, where you can taste the excellent local dishes: in particular, the refuge Rifugio Croce also offers a unique panoramic view over the Dolomites.
There are also wonderful mountain-bike and nordic walking trails.

Winter sport lovers have at their disposal a cross-country trail, an ice-rink and a lit sledge slope. The area is also very suitable for beautiful snowshoe walks, whereas Monte Muro offers many ski mountaineering paths.
