The Lakes of San Martino - Passo Rolle

Lake of Calàita: this enchanting lake lengthens in a valley along the Lagorai western slope, in Val Cismòn. From the saddle it continues southwards along the wooded slope of Monte Bedolè, which ends above the Primiero valley and at the Passo della Gòbbera. This stretch of coast, together with the Lagorai lying behind, constitutes the Valle del Lozèn, which is the access way to the lake being run by a road.

The lake, on which western shore lies the homonymous Rifugio (1604 m), can be reached by bus from Primiero.
The Rifugio Calàita Miralago is reachable by car from Imer, through the Passo della Gòbbera and the Val di Lozèn.

Climb to the lake from San Martino (2-2,30 hours)
At the sawmill enter the forest road n. 350 to Malga Crel. From here enter the path which goes uphill to Valmesta. In about an hour you will reach Forcella Calàita and then enter the valley where the lake lies.

Climb to Monte Bedolè: (recommended)
From Bedolè you have the best opportunities of taking good pictures of the Pale. From here you can descend to Mezzano through the "Salesadi road" or through the "Sforzeleta delle Ràie" to Mezzano and Fiera. Those descents can be made in about 2 hours.

Climb to Calàita from Siròr: 2-3 hours; sign n. 351-359
You leave from Nolesca, go uphill the eastern slope of the Spiz del Doch, go around the Col Santo and reach the saddle of Calàita.
