Useful advice: this easy hike passes near Annaberg Castle, which seems to ignore time that goes by, it covers the famous Annaberger Boeden and Coldrano/Goldrein panoramic footpath. Over the rope-bridge, the footpath goes beyond the deep gorge of Rio di Tis/Tisbaches with its waterfalls to reach finally the beautiful Coldrano/Goldrein castle.
Itinerary description: From Vezzano/Vetzan we cover the street that crosses the village and passes in front of the "Weingart zur Forststraße Schloss Annaberg" hotel, from where we reach the little ascent that walks through steep slopes up to Annabergkapelle, which stands at the foot of Annaberg Castle's hillock (about 1040 mt; the castle is private property so it visits are not allowed); located about 1 hour far from Vezzano/Vetzan.
Above the castle we take footpath number 6 and we cross on the right the Rio di Tis/Tisbach gorge on the large way towards S.Martino a Monte/St. Martin until the crossing with footpath number 7 (about 1120 mt). From here we walk towards a little ascent through the Annaberger Boeden until we find footpath number 5 that goes rightwards, the so-called Coldrano/Goldrein panoramic footpath.
On this side we go right (at about 1030 mt), we outstrip in a little ascent the steep slopes on the sunlit side going westwards in direction of Rio di Tis/Tisbach gorge with its waterfalls. Crossing the rope-bridge at 857 mt height, we go down to footpath number 5 e 5B to the Coldrano/Goldrein Castle (690 mt) and we go westwards back to Vezzano/Vetzan.
