On the Alpe di Siusi: easy hike for families

Useful advice: long but easy hike, suitable for families. Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm is the Europe's largest farm tableland. Alternatively to the following itinerary, You can take the chair-lift in Ortisei/St. Ulrich to go to Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Almer Alm; thus, You will begin your hike from the upper station (2005 mt.). You can also begin in Saltria to do other hikes, as the one which crosses Monte Pana to arrive at S.Cristina/St. Christina, or the one which reaches the Zallinger Hotel (2037 mt.) by Florian chair-lift, to return later to S.Cristina/St. Christina.
Itinerary description: from Ortisei/St. Ulrich - Hotel we proceed on footpath 15 across the wood going south-eastwards until the Pilat hut (1525 mt.); then, following again footpath 15, we go up across the slopes on a comfortable forest path towards Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Almer Alm, which we reach just below the upper station (1875 mt.; about 2 hours).
Now we continue on footpath 9 towards Hotel Sole, we cross a little river and damp fields of Gran Paluch, to go down after about 45 minutes to Saltria (1675 mt.; Hotels). In Saltria we take a wide footpath (number 18), which brings us across the Val Saltria/Jendertal on a light descent until the Hof Bie. Then, on a narrow access road we go along a wood to walk nearby some huts towards the beginning of the valley till Ortisei/St. Ulrich (about 2 hours and ½ far from Saltria).
