Coming down from the hill of the ski lift upper station and the Ciampedie Refuge (1997 m and wonderful view on Dirupi di Parsec, Catinaccio and Vajolet valley), follow the ski run marked 545 passing by the Nigritella Refuge (1986). Follow the path and take the trail on your right, running uphill through a fir forest under Pale Rabbiose. Take the 547 trail (1 hour).
Go through the canyon under Ciampaz and reach the refuges Pederiva and Roda di Vaèl, both rising on the Ciampaz (45 min.)
The refuge Roda di Vaèl was built in 1910 by the Austrian-German Alpine Club of Nova Levante, with the help of the Osrertag-Siegle factory of Stoccarda. In 1921 the refuge became property of SAT (Trentino mountaineers society), that enlarged and rebuilt it in 1984. We suggest you to reach the panoramic view of Ciampaz (2316 m), overlooking Latemar and Monzoni. Proceed along the Masarè trail, marked 549, until the bronze eagle dedicated to Theodor Christomannos, climber and pioneer of the tourism in the Dolomites who created the "Road of the Dolomites".
Once you get back to the junction with trail 547 (30 min), follow it along the Vaiolon and the stream Rio di Valle. The route goes on through a dirt path and then a paved road to the village of Valle (1402 m), near Vigo di Fassa (1.30 h).
