Motorbike itinerary: from Cortina to Bressanone

An easy route along a large panoramic road: the only mountain pass on the itinerary is the Tre Croci Pass (1805 m), a classic among the motorbike itineraries with wonderful landscapes. The route develops on a mountain road with straight stretches and gentle turns.

The first lake on the route is that of Misurina: a romantic expanse of water about 1000 m long and 300 meters wide, at an altitude of 1756 m in one of the most charming and majestic basins in the Alps, surrounded by woods and by the peaks of Piz Popena, Cristallino, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Sorapiss, Cadini and Marmarole.

The route continues towards Dobbiaco and its lake, at the bottom of two natural reserves: Sesto Dolomites and Fanes-Senes-Braies. Drive towards Brunico on the SS49, an easy road with a slight incline, large with the exception of some bottlenecks, always with good visibility but sometimes slightly crowded.

Once you reach Brunico you can decide to drive on towards Bressanone or to stop in Riscone, where there is a deer reserve. Every year on the 1 of May Brunico hosts a motorcycle rally.

Bressanone is without a doubt worth a visit. Once spiritual center of South Tyrol, this town features a huge artistic and cultural legacy, with buildings showing a creative merge of Gothic austerity, Renaissance harmony and Baroque splendor.
