The programme of the last races of the World Championships in Cortina

18 February 2021

This weekend the long-awaited event of the World Championships in Cortina ends amidst pride, courage, disappointment and controversy. Italy collected only one medal with the excellent Marta Bassino in the women's parallel bars, who won the gold medal tied with Liensberger.

Italy is looking forward to the two giant slalom races for women and men with Marta Bassino, Federica Brignone and Luca De Aliprandini.

On Saturday and Sunday, the athletes will compete in the slalom. The women's slalom will be a tough battle between Shiffrin, Vlhova and Gisin. For the men there are many favourites: Pinturault, Kristoffersen, Noel, Zenhaeusern and Yule. Four exciting days are expected before the closing ceremony on Sunday at the end of the men's slalom awards ceremony.
