Trento's Christmas Markets

During the Christmas season, the City of Trento turns into a magical nativity scene with a unique atmosphere, full of lights and traditions. From November to January Piazza Battisti and Piazza Fiera will frame the stands of the Trento Christmas Market: an unforgettable experience, made possible thanks to the commitment of the whole city and of exhibitors who are more and more numerous each year. In addition, the fresh air, the snow-covered peaks, and the lights of the Market that reflect the whiteness of the snow will make for special memories for the whole family!

Trento Christmas Market, organized by APT Trento, Monte Bondone, Valle dei Laghi and Trento Fiere Spa every year attracts numerous guests fascinated by artisanal and enogastronomic offerings and by the comprehensive program of events and fun for adults and children: a rich palimpsest which makes Trento a veritable "Christmas city".

This year the Green project continues with special attention to environmental sustainability: the use of clean energy, plates made from bread, sustainable mobility, eco-certified paper, and much more.

For a magical family weekend, rendezvous at the Christmas Market in Trento. If you want to combine a nice day of skiing or a relaxing walk in nature, here's nothing easier. A few steps away are Monte Bondone, a splendid ski area equipped with all the bells for the enjoyment of young people and especially families and the Valle dei Laghi.

The Christmas Market: products and events

The Trento Christmas Market offers an unforgettable experience: not only showcase and sale of products, but a trip to the territory to discover the excellence of Trentino with tastings and live demonstrations. The lodges located in the two main squares, Piazza Cesare Battisti and Piazza Fiera, welcome visitors in a whirlwind of colors, flavors, and traditional music.

The market is also the realm of children: in Piazza Duomo, under the big illuminated Christmas tree, Santa Claus greets little visitors in his house to give them candy or a little book; there will be workshops and educational activities that take place in the city's museums or in Piazza S. Maria Maggiore; the traditional Christmas train for a ride through the historic town center to discover beautiful buildings; the enchanted forest in historic Via Suffragio; the Punto Bimbi in Piazza Fiera: a space reserved for new mothers and young children; story time with fables and fairy tales and the educational farm in via Roggia.

There are many events happening around the market, many of which are free: competitions, artistic installations, touring concerts, Christmas story time, exhibitions, and rendezvous in museums, farmers markets, thrift and second-hand goods, street entertainment, guided tours, exhibitions of handmade art...
